MINISTRIES //
All of the ministries that take place at The Rock each
serve a purpose. It is our desire to lead each person that is a
part of The Rock through a process. Each step in the process
should help that person fulfill what God has instructed His
people to do. The steps each build on the other and can be viewed
like different levels of climbing a mountain; all the way from the base
to the peak.
The ROCK Process:
R elentless Pursuit of God
O ne Another Relationships
C onforming to Christ
K ingdom Living
Rock Groups
Rock Groups are a gathering of about 6-12 people
that meet during the week in a home for dinner, worship, and discussion.
This ministry accomplishes the purpose of "One Another
Relationships". They are best way to get connected with people at
The Rock. It's impossible to connect with people in a large
crowd such as during our Sunday morning worship gathering, but is possible
in the setting of a living room with a smaller group of people.
ROCK STARS
The children's ministry is from
nursery to 5th grade. We meet during the service on Sunday
mornings at 10:30. We reach out to the community by doing fun
nights and outreaches for our community (Easter Egg Hunt &
Outreach, Stampede Days Outreach, Vacation Bible School, Planet Kid Fun
Night, Halloween Outreach, and coming soon... Service Projects).
We also do fun events within the church like Christmas Programs
and Rock Stars Sunday. It is a fun and exciting time for
your kids while at the same time learning about the Word of God.
As kids come they will be connected with other kids and leave
wanting more.
Our children's ministry exists to:
S HARE Christ with the children of our community.
T EAM them with other Christians and
A DVANCE them in their spiritual maturity. Helping them to
R ECOGNIZE their unique purpose and to
S URRENDER their lives to God.
Rock Student Ministries (RSM): RSM 's mission it to turn
irreligious or apathetic students into totally sold-out followers of
Christ. This is accomplished by leading students through the same
process we lead our adults. RSM includes APEX, Fusion, and Alien.
Apex College/Post-College: At
a time in life where many of the major decisions that will determine
your future are made, it is important to be able to see clearly what
path God wants. It is only possible to see the right path from
the top of a mountain, or the apex, which can be found only with a
connection to Jesus. Our college ministry meets Sunday nights at
The Garage during the school year from 6:30-8:30 to help discover God's
path for your life. During this time we provide a home cooked
meal, have some fun, worship, and discuss God's word.
Fusion High School (Grades 9-12) & Alien Jr. HIgh (Grades 6-8): Navigating
life as a teen is very difficult in the world we live in. Fusion
and Alien are designed with the teenager in mind and wants to help make
sense of life and where God fits into the picture. Join us each
Wednesday night from 7-8:30 at The Garage for a time filled with
crazy games and events, but also impacting teaching from God's Word and
age appropriate group times to discuss what is happening in your own
life. Plus there's usually free food of course. We also do
service projects and trips that will be the highlight of your
year.
