When children head back to classrooms this fall, there will be many children who will be headed that way without adequate school supplies or even a backpack. Over the last number of years, The Rock has worked with teachers in our church to help provide needy children in their schools with a backpack and supplies, and we don't want COVID-19 to kill that ministry. So, this year we are working with Samantha Kallas, a Rock teacher at Willow Creek Elementary School, to fill six backpacks for kids in need there. We already have the backpacks and one is already full of supplies. But we still need to fill the other five. If you would like to help fill a backpack, you can find a list of supplies needed by clicking on this link. Please let the church know which grade level you purhcased supplies.
Once purchased, you can deliver the supplies to the church either at a Sunday service or by making arrangements with the church office. With Nampa School District's recent announcement that they will begin school with online classes this year, we are not certain as to when the backpacks will be delivered to students, but it will coincide with when children return to their classrooms.
