Being a 10 to 1 Church

As described in Zechariah 8:23, The Rock seeks to be a church filled with “10 to 1” disciples of Christ, where each of our lives is so radically transformed by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit that at least 10 people who know us from the outside will recognize the miracle of God with us and ask us how they too might experience His mercy and love in their lives.

Becoming a 10 to 1 people

But “10 to 1” disciples don’t just happen. They are formed in cooperation with the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ who is changing us into His likeness with ever-increasing glory. So, in order to become a “10 to 1” people, we seek to:
"If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit." – Gal. 5:25
"I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some." – 1 Cor. 9:22

Cast Off: We will seek in the Spirit’s power to identify and eliminate from our lives, our families and our church those habits, practices and sins that create road blocks and bottlenecks in our spiritual growth and development.

Cooperate: We will seek by all means possible to learn to enter the Spirit’s presence, hear the Spirit’s voice, submit to the Spirit’s leading, and tap into the Spirit’s power so that our lives might be supernaturally transformed into the likeness of Christ with ever-increasing glory.

Connect: We will seek to build on-going relationships with those in our sphere of influence who are in need of Christ and His mercy—both believers and unbelievers—allowing them to see the miracle of God’s grace in us by experiencing first-hand the fruit of His presence in our lives over time.
